Fire-watcher

What skills must a fire-watcher have?
A person who will be a fire-watcher for hot work posing a fire hazard at a temporary work site must have training and a valid certificate, which means a Heta Arbeten® certificate or equivalent.

Can I be a fire-watcher for hot work posing a fire hazard at a temporary work site if I have a valid certificate for hot work that has been obtained in Norway, Finland or Denmark?
The answer is yes if it was issued by the national fire protection association in the respective country. However, we would like to point out that there are differences in training and regulations between the Nordic countries, which means that we would rather recommend a fire-watcher trained in the same country as that in which the work is carried out.

What class must the fire extinguisher be for hot work posing a fire hazard at a temporary work site?
Safety rule 8 states that fire extinguishers must be a minimum of class 34A 233BC, 2x6 kg powder. If you want a fire extinguisher with a higher efficiency class or a larger size, e.g. 12 kg, this is fine. However, there must always be two extinguishers.
